“Using home automation, we created a system that helps him manage his emotions better by controlling lighting, stimulating or soothing his senses with music, regulating the temperature of his room and alerting his family members if he is absconding.”

Jason sees and experiences the world differently to others due to Autism Spectrum Disorder. His ability to communicate and interact with others will affect him for the rest of his life.

Assessments by speech and occupational therapists recommended a supportive home automation system that helps set routines, keeping him safe from harm and gives his parents peace of mind.

Jason is easily overwhelmed in busy environments making it difficult for him to manage his emotions. He also loves to run and explore which can make keeping an eye on him difficult.

In creating an automation system for Jason, the EasyTech Living Team needed to consider his age, current behaviours, his need for scheduling and routine, his impulse to run and explore at all hours of the day, and his love for music and games.

Using home automation, we created a system that helps him manage his emotions better by controlling lighting, stimulating or soothing his senses with music, regulating the temperature of his room and alerting his family members if he is absconding.
